Seven people face drug trafficking-related charges

Seven people are facing drug trafficking-related charges after Sarnia police executed a search warrant at a Mayfair Drive home on Wednesday.

Officers conducting surveillance said a suspect was seen leaving the home in a vehicle around noon. He was taken into custody and police searched the home where six other people were arrested.

Officers have also seized 75 grams of powdered cocaine, 49.12 grams of methamphetamine, and 1.86 grams of fentanyl worth a total of $13,342. Police said $1,580 in cash was also seized.

Ericka Nicole Jackson, 22, of Sarnia, Sarah Marie Thwaites, 29, of Sarnia, Nathaniel Kaidan Williams, 25, of Ajax, Kyle Adam Thompson, 29, of Sarnia, Carlos Hubert Felix-Warde, 24, of Pickering, Dennis Arthur Free, 43, of Sarnia, and Tammi Rae Scalplock, 39, of Sarnia, are all charged with three counts each of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking.

Williams faces an additional charge of failing to comply with an order of release, and Thompson is also charged with three counts of breach of probation.

All of the suspected were held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
