Vehicle pulled from St. Clair River at Marysville

The St. Clair County Sheriff's Dive Team recovered a car and a body from the St. Clair River in Marysville on Tuesday morning.

The Sheriff's office told Blackburn News that they were called to the river at the end of Cuttle Road at around 6:40 a.m.

Crews battled ice floes to recover the car, a Chevy Impala, and a tow truck helped pull it out at around 10:30 a.m.

The identity of the driver hasn't been released pending forensic identification and notification of next of kin.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
