Four charged in Petrolia drug bust

Four people are charged after Lambton OPP seized over $20,000 in drugs from a Maude Street residence in Petrolia.

Police said a search warrant was executed on Tuesday with help from the OPP and Elgin Middlesex's Street Crimes Units (CSCU), and the OPP's Canine Unit, and Emergency Response Team.

They found over 200 grams of suspected cocaine, as well as suspected fentanyl. Police said electronics, over $5,000 in cash, and drug paraphernalia were also seized.

Justin Gadd, 24, of Petrolia, James Kember, 25, of Petrolia, and Alyxandra Wilcox, 21, of Sarnia are all charged with possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, possession of fentanyl, and property obtained by crime over $5,000.

Ashley Smith, 21, of Sarnia is charged with possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking.

Gadd and Kember were being held pending bail hearings.

Wilcox and Smith will appear in Sarnia court on March 18.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
