Police said the man broke into a storage room on the property shortly after midnight on February 8.
Anyone with information is asked to call Sarnia police or Crime Stoppers.
SPS Board Chair Kelly Ash said the decision followed discussions with Acting Chief Mike Federico and aligns with practices at other police services.
