Young driver faces racing, blood alcohol charges

A 19-year-old from St. Clair Township is charged after Lambton OPP clocked a vehicle travelling over 50 kilometres per hour above the posted speed limit on Highway 402.

Police were conducting radar enforcement in the Plympton-Wyoming area at around 9:30 p.m. on February 8.

The driver allegedly blew above zero on a roadside screening device.

The driver is charged with racing a motor vehicle at excessive speeds and being a young driver with a blood alcohol concentration above zero.

The driver's licence was suspended for seven days and the vehicle towed and impounded for seven days.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
