Hearts for Youth Gala surpasses goal

Guests at this year's Hearts for Youth Gala emptied their wallets for local youth.

Over $83,000 was raised in support of Sarnia-Lambton Rebound at the February 8 event, surpassing the $80,000 goal.

Fund Development and Marketing Coordinator Anita Minielly said money raised will benefit youth programming at Rebound, including the Spectrum Group, an inclusive LGBTQ youth program and Rebound ROCKS.

"We just celebrated our 35th anniversary last fall and year-to-date we have successfully served over 40,000 youth," said Minielly.

The annual fundraiser, which marked 21 years this month, has raised nearly $800,000 for youth programming.
