Truck fire deemed suspicious

Sarnia police are looking into a suspicious fire Friday night.

Sarnia Fire and Rescue responded to a vehicle fire in the area of Exmouth Street and Melrose Avenue at around 9 p.m.

A pickup truck was found to be fully engulfed in flames and a vehicle parked nearby also sustained damage.

No injuries were reported.

Police said it has since been determined the truck was reported stolen from Lambton County on November 24, 2019.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
