Break and enter suspects arrested in St. Clair Township

Lambton OPP arrested a pair of break and enter suspects in St. Clair Township Thursday morning.

Police said while responding to a break and enter in progress on Stanley Line at around 8 a.m., suspects fled the scene, one on foot and one in a car, before officers arrived.

West Region Canine and the services Emergency Response Team were called in to help and the suspects were located a short time later.

Joshua Poolman, 38, and Ian Jackson, 38, both of Sarnia, are each charged with break and enter with intent to commit an indictable offence.

Poolman faces additional charges of possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, and carrying a concealed weapon.

The suspects were being held pending a bail hearing.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
