UPDATE: Police identify homicide victim

Sarnia police have identified the victim of a homicide on Palmerston Street North late Friday night.

Officers were called to the 100 block just before midnight where they found a 29-year-old woman with life-threatening injuries.

She was taken to hospital by paramedics but later died as a result of her injuries.

The victim has been identified as Sarah Marie Thwaites of Sarnia.

Sarnia police said they'll remain on scene for the next several days as the investigation continues.

No arrests have been made at this time.
