Former Sarnia sports journalist dies

A well known former sports journalist in Sarnia-Lambton has died.

Dave Borody's career with the Sarnia Observer spanned nearly four decades.

The former sports editor often was a guest colour commentator on Sarnia Sting broadcasts on CHOK (103.9 FM, 1070 AM) with play-by-play commentators George Heath, the late Murray Vosbourgh, and Tom Gibson.

The SCITS graduate also was a co-host with Murray Vosbourgh on CHOK's sports show Monday evenings.

A private graveside service will be broadcast live on the Smith Funeral Home Facebook page at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, March 25, 2020.

In lieu of flowers, sympathy may be expressed through donations to Bluewater Baptist Church (cheques can be mailed to the funeral home, 1576 London Line, Sarnia N7T 7H2.)

Dave Borody was 67.
