Commercial vehicle hits 402 median barrier and keeps going

A Plympton-Wyoming man faces charges including impaired driving after a commercial vehicle hit a median barrier on Highway 402 and kept going.

Middlesex OPP responded to the highway near Kerwood Road at around 6:40 p.m. on Sunday.

Police say the vehicle was seen striking the wire barrier located in the centre median before continuing westbound into Lambton County, dragging wire and debris behind it.

Police were able to locate and stop the vehicle, and the 29-year-old driver was arrested and taken to the Petrolia detachment.

He's charged with operation while impaired by alcohol and drugs and failing to stop after an accident.
