Sarnia traffic stop leads to $25K fentanyl seizure

Sarnia police seized over $25,000 worth of fentanyl during a traffic stop on Tuesday afternoon in the 100 block of Vidal Street South.

Vice Unit officers pulled over a vehicle at around 3:15 p.m. while conducting surveillance on a drug trafficking suspect.

Police seized 51.24 grams of fentanyl worth $25,620, 3.36 grams of methamphetamine worth $336, and $2,310 in cash.

Randall Scott Toole, 43, of Sarnia is charged with one count of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, and one count of possession of a controlled substance.

He was being held pending a bail hearing.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
