Ontario's police watchdog says no charges will be laid in connection with the arrest of a man in Corunna in late 2019.
On December 21, a 41-year-old man suffered a fracture to his right upper arm while being arrested by several OPP officers.
Three members of the Special Investigations Unit (SIU) were assigned to the case.
Police were called to a residence at about 1:45 a.m. where the mother of the complainant wanted her son, who had been drinking, removed from the property.
Officers decided to arrest the man for trespassing when he refused to leave and became belligerent.
He was taken to the ground in the driveway of the home and in the struggle to handcuff him, an officer wrenched the man's right arm behind his back causing the injury.
The Director of the SIU, Joseph Martino, ruled the hostile complainant was subject to a lawful arrest and there was no evidence to indicate that excessive force was applied to bring the man under control.

The SIU is a civilian law enforcement agency that investigates incidents involving police officers where there has been death, serious injury or allegations of sexual assault.
