Two shot with BB gun in attempted robbery

A young offender allegedly shot two people with a BB gun in an attempted robbery on Wednesday.

Sarnia police said it happened in the 200 block of Wellington Street just before 5 p.m.

They said one victim was shot in the leg, and the other in the neck. All three parties fled the scene.

It's alleged the suspect was also in possession of set a of brass knuckles.

The young offender was arrested and charged with two counts each of attempted robbery, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, and using an imitation firearm while attempting to commit an offence, as well as one count of unauthorized possession of a prohibited weapon.

Police said this was an isolated incident and all three parties are known to each other.

The identity of the accused is protected under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
