Sarnia Canada Day video challenge launched

Sarnia's Canada Day committee is encouraging the community to get creative this year.

City Recreation Coordinator Rachel Veilleux says they're launching a video challenge to showcase Canadian pride.

"On July 1, we will be featuring some of these videos in a live broadcast," said Veilleux. "So, what we're looking for is community members to submit three to seven seconds of a video that's in landscape or horizontal mode, just saying something like 'Happy Birthday, Canada,' from whoever's in the video."

Veilleux asks that videos be submitted by June 20, to Rachel.Veilleux@sarnia.ca

Planning for Sarnia's virtual Canada Day is still in the works, but The Show with David Burrows will live stream a Canada Day showcase at 2 p.m.

Details are posted to the city's Canada Day website.
