Small fire at Imperial Sarnia sounds sirens

The sirens at Imperial Oil in Sarnia were sounded at approximately 12:30 a.m. Saturday.

There was a small fire at the chemical plant that was extinguished by process operators in the area.

Public and Government Affairs Manager Kristina Zimmer said the fire was caused by a leak which has since been isolated.

The CVECO notification was activated and external emergency responders were immediately aware of this incident.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
