Disturbance at former Camp Ipperwash under investigation

Anishinabek police and the Lambton OPP Crime Unit are investigating a disturbance Friday afternoon at the former Camp Ipperwash lands at Kettle & Stony Point First Nation.

At about 12:15 p.m. police responded to 9356 Army Camp Rd. in Lambton Shores.

Two structures, believed to be cannabis shops, were destroyed by fire.

Smoke could be seen billowing from the area and OPP closed a section of Highway 21 in both directions for much of the afternoon.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
