Lottery ticket worth $16M sold in Lambton County

If you had a ticket in the LOTTO 6/49 draw Wednesday night, you may have won over $16 million.

The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG) said a ticket sold in Lambton County won $16,058,552.50.

The OLG hasn't specified where in Lambton County the ticket was sold, but it recommends that anyone who believes they have it, should sign it immediately and have it validated at an authorized OLG retail location.

The OLG Prize Centre in Toronto is still closed due to COVID-19 precautions, but the corporation said it's currently taking steps to resume in-person prize claims and will provide more information in the coming days.

It's recommended the signed ticket be put in a safe spot with the validation slip received from the retailer.

The guaranteed $1 million prize in Wednesday night's draw was won by a ticket sold in Unionville.

Two second prize-winning tickets, worth $111,534 each, were sold in Mississauga and Nepean.
