Young Sarnia singer makes final of talent competition

A young Sarnia singer is just one step away from a $2,000 payday.

Charlize Lefebvre, 11, has made it all the way to Saturday's final of the Moksha Canada Foundation’s You Got Talent Competition.

A few weeks back, the Sarnia-Lambton community helped vote Charlize into the semi-finals of the Toronto-based contest -- she placed sixth out of 43 contestants with 1,961 votes.

"Thank you to everyone in the community who voted for me," said Charlize. "It’s because of you that I get this opportunity. I hope I make Sarnia proud at the finals."

Unfortunately, the finals won't be available for public viewing, but the results will be posted to BlackburnNewsSarnia.com.
