Big screen fireworks in Grand Bend, Petrolia celebrating too

A virtual fireworks display in Grand Bend will hit the big screen this Canada Day.

The Starlite Drive-In Theatre is hosting a special celebration Wednesday night, featuring live music, a screening of The Iron Giant, and virtual fireworks, beginning at 8:30 p.m.

Tickets are $25 per car - 148 are available.

The Town of Petrolia is hosting a virtual celebration Wednesday.

From 9 a.m. until noon the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 216 will host their annual Canada Day Pancake Breakfast. Residents can order their takeout orders ahead of time.

From 10 a.m. until noon there will be a 'Tour de Petrolia Rally'. Residents are invited to decorate their cars and bikes in red and white and tour five different locations around town, including the Petrolia Farmer's Market, Greenwood Rec Centre and Kerr Park.
