UPDATE: OPP identify drowning victim from Grand Bend Beach

A  Brampton man has died after drowning in Grand Bend on Saturday.

Lambton provincial police and paramedics responded to a possible drowning in Lake Huron off of Grand Bend's main beach around 11:30 a.m.

Police say lifeguards were able to pull the victim, 42-year-old Michael Khan, from the water, before he was transported to the hospital -- he was later pronounced deceased.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
