Diesel fuel spilled in 402 transport crash

A section of Highway 402 westbound was down to one lane after a collision involving two transports Tuesday morning.

Lambton OPP responded to the crash between Modeland Road and Blackwell Side Road,  just before 8:30 a.m. and reopened the area before 11 a.m.

One of the transports sustained a ruptured diesel fuel tank, which leaked on to the median.

The Ministry of Transportation, as well as the Ministry of Environment, responded to help with the clean up of the spill.

There has been no word on any injuries.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
