A drug trafficking investigation has led to the seizure of a large quantity of fentanyl and methamphetamine in Sarnia.
At around 9:15 p.m. on Thursday, Vice Unit officers were conducting surveillance on a unit in the 800 block of Wellington Street and spotted a suspect leaving the residence.
Police said searches of a suspect and the unit allegedly turned up 71.96 grams of fentanyl with a street value of $35,980 and 23.73 grams of methamphetamine with a street value of $2,373.
A stolen bicycle and drug paraphernalia were also seized.
Joseph Austin Boose, 22, of Sarnia is charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking and one count of possession of property obtained by crime (the bicycle). He was being held for a bail hearing.
Police said three other people inside the residence at the time are charged with possession of a controlled substance and one count of possession of property obtained by crime.
They were released on an undertaking.
