Woman charged after vehicle mounts curb, hits tree

A 31-year-old Sarnia woman faces impaired driving charges after a vehicle mounted a curb, struck a tree, and drove across several front yards in the 500 block of Talfourd Street.

Sarnia police said it happened at around 10:35 p.m. Monday.

When the vehicle finally came to a stop, police said it had significant damage to the front passenger side.

The accused was taken to police headquarters but police said she failed to supply a suitable breath sample.

She is charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle, and failure or refusal to comply with demand to supply a sample of breath.
