Police investigating theft of classic pink Chevelle

Sarnia police are investigating the recent theft of a classic car from the Lambton Mall parking lot.

Police said a pink 1972 Chevrolet Chevelle was parked near the front doors of Galaxy Cinemas at around 6 p.m. October 8.

It's alleged a man walked across the lot, entered the vehicle through the driver's side door, and started it up in less than a minute.

It was last seen exiting the lot toward Exmouth Street.

The suspect is described as a skinny male, approximately 5’10”, wearing a black hoodie with jeans. Police said video footage is not available at this time but may be forthcoming.

Police said if you see this vehicle, report its location to police and do not approach it or attempt to stop it.
