23-year-old charged with impaired in Enniskillen Township

On Saturday at approximately 2:50 p.m. members of the Lambton County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a single motor vehicle collision on Oil Heritage Road in Enniskillen Township.

Police observed the driver of the vehicle in the field running and attempting to hide.

Officers entered into the field with their cruiser at which time the driver fled on foot before being apprehended..

Lambton EMS attended the scene in relation to the injuries sustained in the collision and transported the driver to the local hospital with minor injuries.

While the driver was being arrested, it became apparent the driver had consumed an alcoholic beverage and was displaying signs of impairment.

While at the hospital, the driver provided two samples of breath over the legal limit.

A 23-year-old male from Dawn-Euphemia has been charged with Operation While Impaired - Alcohol and Drugs, Operation While Impaired- Blood Alcohol Concentration (80 Plus), and Flight From Peace Officer, pursuant to the Criminal Code of Canada.

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice-Sarnia on December 14.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
