Lambton-Kent public school board fills trustee vacancy

The Lambton Kent District School Board (LKDSB) has filled a vacancy in its ranks.

Malinda Little was chosen Tuesday night from among 11 candidates who had expressed interest in serving as trustee for Sarnia and Point Edward.

She replaces Brittany Jenkins who stepped down, without explanation, two years into the current four-year term.

Little's first board meeting will be November 10.

She will attend bimonthly meetings, which alternate between the corporate office in Sarnia and the regional office in Chatham, and take part in additional committee work.

“On behalf of the board of trustees, we look forward to Malinda Little joining the LKDSB as we work collectively to support student achievement and wellbeing and further the mission, vision and strategic priorities,” Chair Jane Bryce said in a statement.
