One active case of COVID-19 in Sarnia-Lambton

Sarnia-Lambton's COVID-19 caseload increased by one Friday and a new outbreak was declared at Fiddicks Retirement Home in Petrolia.

Lambton Public Health reported in its daily update that there are 370 confirmed cases, 344 recoveries and one active case.

The death toll is unchanged in nearly five months at 25.

On Saturday Ontario reported 1,015 new cases of the novel coronavirus marking the second-highest single-day increase in cases to date in the province, behind last Sunday's report of 1,042.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
