High levels of air pollution are possible this afternoon.

An AIR QUALITY WARNING is in place due to the possibility of deteriorating air quality. Hot and sunny conditions are expected to cause increasing ground-level ozone concentrations this afternoon. Moderate risk AQHI values are expected throughout the day with the potential of short-term high risk AQHI values in the afternoon.

When air pollution levels are high, everyone should limit time outdoors. Consider reducing or rescheduling outdoor sports, activities and events.

You may experience mild and common symptoms such as eye, nose and throat irritation, headaches or a mild cough. More serious but less common symptoms include wheezing, chest pains or severe cough. If you think you are having a medical emergency, seek immediate medical assistance.

People more likely to be impacted by outdoor air pollution, including people aged 65 and older, pregnant people, infants and young children, people with an existing illness or chronic health condition, and people who work outdoors, should reduce or reschedule strenuous activities outdoors and seek medical attention if experiencing symptoms.

A Sarnia man is charged with murder in connection with a woman's death from a fall late last month.
Police say on October 25 at about 10:15 a.m., officers responded to an address in the 900 block of Colborne Road. An unresponsive 69-year-old woman was located at the bottom of a rear entrance landing.
The victim was pronounced dead a short time later. Police say it was determined she had died from injuries sustained in a fall.
Following an investigation, police arrested 42-year-old Timothy Shaun Nahmabin on Saturday, October 31.
He's in custody, charged with second degree murder.
