UPDATE: Strong winds Sunday

Environment Canada has a wind warning in effect for Sarnia-Lambton for Sunday.

The weather agency said a strengthening low pressure system is forecast to track across northeastern Ontario Sunday with winds strengthening throughout the day.

Southerly winds will gust up to 80 kilometres an hour Sunday morning and then shift westerly and strengthen with isolated gusts up to 100 kilometres an hour beginning late Sunday afternoon.

The winds are expected to ease Monday morning.

Local power outages are possible and strong winds may toss loose objects or cause tree branches to break.

It will be unseasonably mild Sunday with the temperature rising to 12 C, 54 F, before dropping off to a low of 2 C, 36 F, Sunday night with the chance of showers or flurries. A high of 5 C, 41 F, is forecast for Monday.
