Seaway Kiwanis donates $15K to local charities

Sarnia's Seaway Kiwanis Club recently donated $15,000 to three local charities.

The recipients of $5,000 each were the Inn of the Good Shepherd, the Salvation Army, and the St. Vincent de Paul Society.

Club spokesman Ken Stothers said the money will help the agencies provide food and gifts for children and families this Christmas.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
