Lambton Public Health investigating biting incident at dog park

Lambton Public Health is investigating after a dog bit a woman at the Blackwell Dog Park.

The health unit said it happened sometime between 10:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. on Sunday, November 29.

It said the victim's six-month-old black lab was playing with the other dog at the time of the incident.

The dog that bit the woman is described as brown, medium-sized, with short hair and was wearing a brown coat. Its owner is a middle-aged man.

Anyone with information is asked to call Lambton Public Health at 519-383-8331 ext. 3582.

If the dog is not located to have its health status verified, the victim will need to get post-exposure rabies shots.
