Global Donuts fundraises for MADD, Women's Interval Home

Global Donuts recently raised $3,000 through the sale of special donuts for two Sarnia-Lambton organizations.

The sale of red ribbon donuts from November 30 to December 4 resulted in a $2,000 donation to MADD Sarnia-Lambton.

Proceeds from the sale of purple custard-filled donuts December 6 and 7 were donated to the Women's Interval Home and Sexual Assault Survivors Centre.

The donations included $400 from Global Donuts Owner Gus Pantazis.

A donation of $1,000 was made in conjunction with the anniversary of the Montreal Polytechnique massacre 30 years ago.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
