Sarnia police search southend neighbourhood Thursday

Sarnia police reported an increased police presence Thursday in the Devine Street, Mitton Street, Proctor Street, and McGibbon Street block and surrounding area.

Officers were searching for possible evidence from an incident that happened earlier in the morning.

Police said there's no concern for public safety, and the scene was cleared at mid-afternoon.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled
