LPH declares COVID outbreak at Village on the St. Clair

On Friday morning Lambton Public Health declared an outbreak of COVID-19 at Village on the St. Clair retirement home on Front Street in Sarnia with two staff testing positive for the virus.

The health unit's Lori Lucas said “the individuals who tested positive have been notified of their results."

She added “LPH is continuing to conduct case and contact management as part of the investigation.”

That brings the total number of workplace, school and institutional outbreaks in Sarnia-Lambton to 16.

On Thursday an outbreak of the coronavirus was declared after a resident at North Lambton Lodge in Forest tested positive for the virus.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
