OPP charge drivers with impaired, stunt driving

Lambton OPP nabbed the driver of a vehicle who allegedly fled the scene of a single crash in Brooke-Alvinston at around 3:30 a.m. December 30.

Police say the 23-year-old Alvinston man was seen running from the scene on Courtright Line.

He was arrested, and allegedly provided two breath samples over the legal limit.

The accused will appear in Sarnia court on January 18.

A 32-year-old Sarnia man is charged with stunt driving after Lambton OPP stopped a vehicle travelling 60 km/h above the posted speed limit on Tank Street in Petrolia.

Police made the traffic stop at around 11:25 a.m. on December 31.

The driver's licence has been suspended for seven days and the vehicle was towed and impounded for seven days.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
