City police trying to ID alleged shoplifters (VIDEO)

Sarnia police are asking for the public's help in identifying two alleged shoplifters, accused of stealing around $3,000 worth of electronics from a local Shoppers Drug Mart.

Police have released video surveillance of two females taking various items between 5:05 p.m. and 5:50 p.m. December 28 -- items stolen included cell phones, smart watches, and other electronics.

Anyone with information is being asked to contact Detective Jeff Rovers at 519-344-8861, extension 6159, or Sarnia-Lambton Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.

Police remind the public that thefts like these cause the loss of millions of dollars each year to businesses, costs that are ultimately passed onto the consumer.
