Over $10K in drugs, currency seized in Watford bust

Lambton OPP say they seized over $10,000 in drugs and Canadian currency after a search warrant was executed Thursday on Victoria Street in Watford.

The search was conducted jointly by members of the Lambton County Community Street Crimes Unit, Tactical Response Unit, Canine Unit, Emergency Response Team and Intelligence Unit.

The OPP said they seized illegal drugs consisting of suspected cocaine, MDMA, LSD, Psilocybin, and Oxycodone.

Matthew Angus, 22, of Watford, and Taylor Abrams, 18, of Strathroy are each charged with four counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking, possession of a Schedule One substance, and possession of cannabis for the purpose of selling.

Both are scheduled to appear in Sarnia court at a later date.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
