Sarnia police ID body discovered off Hwy. 402

Sarnia police have identified a body discovered off Highway 402 last week as a 32-year-old Sarnia man.

Police said Brian David Sutherland's next of kin has been notified.

Officers responded to the area, near the southwest side of the eastbound off-ramp to Exmouth Street and Indian Road, Tuesday January 5, around 12:30 p.m.

Police said last Thursday they had ruled out foul play in connection to the death and the incident was not criminal in nature.

A post mortem examination was conducted in London.

Further details, including cause of death, will not be released.

Police are thanking the public for its assistance in the investigation.
