Active COVID cases up six, outbreaks down to eight

Lambton Public Health (LPH) reported 20 new cases of COVID-19 in Sarnia-Lambton Sunday bringing the total caseload to 1,771 since March.

The number of recovered cases is up 14 increasing the number of active cases by six to 181 since Saturday.

The death toll is unchanged at 35.

The number of active outbreaks in Sarnia-Lambton is down one to eight.

Sunday Bluewater Health reported 11 COVID-positive patients in hospital, unchanged since Saturday.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
