Drug trafficking charges laid after traffic stop

A 34-year-old Sarnia man faces drug trafficking charges following a traffic stop early Saturday morning.

Officers, conducting surveillance just after midnight, stopped a vehicle in the area of Exmouth Street and Indian Road.

During a search of the vehicle, police said they seized 7.8 grams of methamphetamine, 3.9 grams of fentanyl, 2.2 grams of cocaine, $2,310 in Canadian currency and $125 in U.S. currency.

The total value of the drugs is estimated at $2,950.

Daniel Mark Isaac is charged with three counts of possession of a schedule one substance for the purpose of trafficking and is to appear in Sarnia court February 17.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
