Davis St. stabbing victim recovering in hospital

Sarnia police say the victim of a stabbing earlier this week on Davis Street is recovering from his injuries in hospital.

A 57-year-old man was rushed to Bluewater Health from a residence in the 200 block after midnight Tuesday and then transferred to London hospital.

Police said that as of Thursday evening, he was in stable condition and recovering from what were described as serious injuries.

41-year-old Lindsay Rene Smith remained in custody pending a bail hearing on charges of assault causing bodily harm and assault with a weapon.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
