Two arrested after ATV operators confronted by armed men

Lambton OPP arrested two Courtright men after three ATV operators were allegedly held at gunpoint and another was assaulted.

Police were called to the area of Greenfield Road at around 6 p.m. on January 31.

They said four ATV operators were approached by two men carrying firearms and that three of the operators were allegedly held at gunpoint by one of the men while the other assaulted the fourth operator.

Police said the victims were able to flee and contact police.

Gordon MacDonald, 51, and Ethan MacDonald, 21, were arrested. Charges laid by police include assault causing bodily harm, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, pointing a firearm, careless use of a firearm, and unauthorized possession of a firearm.

The suspects were released and are to appear in court on March 8.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
