Sarnia police said they were dealing with a barricaded person, and that the situation was contained to a single unit.
Just after 3 p.m. police said the person had been apprehended safely and the scene was cleared.
They said further information will not be released.
People in southern Huron and Lambton counties are being told to limit their time outside.
