City police constable charged in alleged property dispute

A Sarnia police constable has been arrested after police received a complaint about a property dispute involving an off-duty officer.

Due to the nature of the January 10 complaint, Sarnia police asked Chatham-Kent police to take over the investigation.

The Chatham-Kent service has charged Constable Ryan LeBlanc with break and enter to commit mischief.

He was released on conditions with his first court appearance set for March 16.

Cst. John Sottosanti said the alleged incident happened in Sarnia and the officer has not been suspended at this time.
