Impaired charge laid after vehicle jumps curb at restaurant

A 35-year-old Sarnia man faces a charge of drug-impaired driving after a vehicle drove over the curb at a London Road fast food restaurant.

Sarnia police were called by a witness over the noon hour on February 18.

Police said the suspect vehicle was travelling under the posted speed and unable to remain in its lane.

After initially refusing to stop, officers pulled over the vehicle in the area of Bradford Drive and Murphy Road.

The driver and lone occupant was arrested for impaired driving and evaluated by a Drug Recognition Expert

He was also handed a 90-day driver's licence suspension.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
