Active COVID cases down four, no positive patients in hospital

Sarnia-Lambton's active COVID-19 cases dropped by four Tuesday.

Lambton Public Health reported nine new confirmed cases over the past 24 hours for a total of 2,035. Resolved cases went up 13 to 1,895, the death toll remained unchanged at 46, putting the number of active cases at 94, down from 98 Monday.

Active institutional outbreaks remained at six.

The Lambton Kent District School Board reported one positive student at Northern Collegiate Institute and Vocational School. One student and one staff member have tested positive at Lansdowne Public School.

Bluewater Health reported Tuesday that the number of positive patients in the Sarnia hospital has dropped to zero, down two from Monday.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
