Two charged with trafficking in Mitton Street drug bust

Sarnia police have arrested two suspects after an investigation into the alleged trafficking of drugs in the 200 block of Mitton Street South.

Officers executed a search warrant at a home at around 7:45 p.m. Thursday and seized $3,300 in currency as well as quantities of cocaine, fentanyl, and methamphetamine with a total estimated street value of $3,880.

Police also found a baggy containing 12 rounds of Lugar 9mm ammunition.

Derrick Alan Pillon, 41, of Sarnia is charged with three counts of possession of a schedule one substance for the purpose of trafficking, one count of possession of ammunition contrary to a prohibition order, six counts of breach of probation, and one count of failing to comply with a release order.

Claudia Marie Colborne, 20, of Sarnia is charged with three counts of possession of a schedule one substance for the purpose of trafficking and two counts of breach of probation.

Both were being held in custody pending bail hearings.

Police said another person in the home was charged with drug possession, and several others were released unconditionally.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
