Heavy police response to Bright's Grove assault complaint

An assault investigation Tuesday prompted a large, noticeable gathering of police in Bright's Grove.

City police Cst. John Sottosanti said they received a complaint about an assault with the involved parties being known to each other.

Sarnia police emergency response team members, and the OPP Tactics and Rescue Unit executed a search warrant without incident at a residence at an unspecified location Tuesday afternoon.

Cst. Sottosanti said three people were arrested and weapons and ammunition were found after safe entry was gained to the home. A firearm, ammunition, a functioning Taser and other weapons were seized.

Police said the investigation is ongoing, and names are not being released at this time.
