Drug charges laid in traffic stop

A Lambton Shores woman is facing drug related charges after a traffic stop in Grand Bend.

Just before noon on Wednesday, March 3, Lambton OPP responded to a traffic complaint on Lakeshore Road.

Police located the vehicle and during a traffic stop discovered the driver was wanted by another county and arrested. Poice said during a search of the vehicle, officers seized suspected fentanyl and crystal methamphetamine.

The 43-year-old female driver was charged with possession of a schedule 1 substance and is scheduled to appear in court at a later date.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
